Tadpoles Class

Our Tadpole class is the youngest of our independent learners for beginner 2 year old students with little to no experience. A parent is welcomed to stay poolside for a class or two if it is thought to help the student become permanently independent in future classes. Our progression based curriculum introduces students to swimming with little incremental challenges in the form of skills. Skills are activities designed to help students gradually become more comfortable in the water while learning how to swim at a higher level.

Tadpoles immediately get to work on learning very important water safety and survival skills. Students practice submerging their head, floating on their back, gliding in the water, and jumping in and returning to the pool wall. Our certified and year-round instructors work on stroke and kick development in fun and creative ways. This level works to develop a foundation for independent freestyle swimming. Our goal is a safe, fun, nurturing environment where students can develop sound, positive feelings about themselves and learning.
