GREAT CAMPS are not just about sports or filling idle time in the summer. GREAT CAMPS foster learning and personal growth throughout the summer months – new activities and new friends combine with educational enrichments to create an exceptional summer experience. At Gym Magic, we know how to have fun and develop kids from the ‘inside out’, which means building a positive learning attitude because we know a positive learning attitude is vital to success in today’s complex world. At Gym Magic, Integrative movement (S’cool Moves®) and educational opportunities work together to offset the dreaded ‘summer learning loss’.

Another key ingredient to GREAT CAMPS is a GREAT STAFF, and this is where Gym N’ Fun really shines!! Our staff of dedicated ‘kid specialists’ know how to have FUN while maintaining discipline. Our staff of trained professionals work with us year-round and are hired because they love working with kids and have an aptitude for teaching. Our staff is USAG Safety Certified in addition to CPR and First Aid certified because we know that safety must always come first! Student to teacher ratios are also very important, and we maintain low ratios to provide great supervision. In addition, we train a select group of interns that will become our next generation of ‘kid specialists’ by working and training with our dedicated staff.

Our campers do recreational gymnastics and S’cool Moves® components every day, using the same high-quality equipment our competitive team members train on. We have over 10,000 sq. ft. of air-conditioned gym that’s padded wall to wall for extra safety. In addition, we have in-ground trampolines and Tumble Traks for added fun.There’s lots to do, and there’s no better facility to do it in!

Campers also use our two state-of-the-art indoor pools at The Lily Pad Swim School, Gym Magic’s in-house swim school. The Lily Pad Swim School is New Mexico’s first and only dedicated pool for a learn-to-swim program and is the only member of the US Swim School Association in New Mexico! Our learn-to-swim pools are specially designed for teaching lessons; they are kid friendly, shallow, indoor pools with warm water YEAR-ROUND. Warm water has been highlighted as another key ingredient for GREAT SWIM PROGRAMS.

Field trips are another sign of a GREAT CAMP, and our campers enjoy both local and out of town field trips. Field trips bring added excitement as kids travel to the Insights Museum in El Paso, for example, or visit local businesses to see the ‘inside’ of their operation. Our field trips bring a mix of adventure and education to our camps and allow us to provide that something extra! And then there are some trips that are really just about FUN (Wet N’ Wild, of course, and Western Playland)! We like a balanced summer so you’ll find field trips sprinkled throughout the summer.

Hours
Camp begins at 9:00 and ends at 4:00, Monday through Friday.  What?  You work?  No problem!  We offer extended hours for those needing additional time.

Camp Tuition
Gym N’ Fun Camp is open to kids from 1st grade through 6th grade; for kids 3 to 5 years of age, we offer Ashley’s Garden CampVentures. A $20 non-refundable registration fee is due for non-members.  Campers may attend by the week or by the day. To reserve your campers spot, you must pay the first week’s tuition. Please note that payments are non-transferable once the week you paid for has begun. If registering by phone, you will need to visit our front office the week prior to your first week of attendance to fill out your registration form.

Pick-up and Drop OFF
For security reasons, you must sign your camper in and out each day.  You must advise Gym Magic on your registration form who is authorized to pick up your child, and notify them that a photo identification is required with signature on the sign out page.

GYM MAGIC would like to invite your child to SPRING BREAK CAMP!!

We specialize in KIDS! With over 18 years of camp experience, we know how to have FUN in a safe, supervised environment. Our variety of themes will keep things fresh each day and keep our campers moving! Our campers experience an outstanding set of activities that blend into the daily themes: gymnastics, swimming, dance, games and plenty of arts and crafts.

Camp will give your child the opportunity to find new talents, gain independence and make new friends along the way.

SO MUCH MORE THAN A ‘SPORTS CAMP’!

Campers may attend by the day or for the week. Campers from Kinder through 7th grade will have their activities in the main gym and upstairs. Three to five year olds will have camp in Ashley’s Garden, our preschool, with our great preschool staff.

Our Gym Magic coaches will staff the camp, so you can be sure there will be lots of great activities for the kids:  gymnastics fun (of course), arts and crafts, movies, games, reading, and much, much more!  We provide an AM and PM snack and ask the campers to bring a sack lunch or pre-order lunch from our concession.

BONUS DISCOUNTS:
Siblings receive a full 15% discount on tuition. We know money is tight, but we also know that offering a great experience for your children is important, so we offer a sibling discount to help out families with more than one child.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
•    After a 5 minute grace period (after 5:35pm), a charge of $1 per minute will be assessed for students not picked-up from After-Camp.
•    Camp tuition is due at the time of registration.
•    Sorry, there are no refunds or make-ups for missed days.

WHAT TO BRING
1.  Wear comfortable shoes, socks and clothing.  Long hair should be pulled back.
2.  Bring a sack lunch or pre-order lunch from the concession (we provide AM and PM snacks).
3.  No jewelry, candy or gum.

You’ll have the same great swim coaches that you’re accustomed to and the same warm water that’s just right for lessons! Camp will be for beginners through to advanced swimmers. Our campers will first be divided by age (4 to 6 yr; 7 to 9; and 10+) and then divided by skill, so we can really zero in on the proper skills for each camper.

We don’t stand on the deck giving corrections; we’re IN the water demonstrating and working with each swimmer because this is the proven method for learning! And as always, Safety will be priority One followed by Form and Fun!

Camp is scheduled for 3 hours from 9:00 to 12:00. Additional times will be scheduled as needed. Wear your suit; bring your towel; bring a dry change of clothes; no jewelry, gum or sun screen; and arrive a few minutes early so you’re ready to hit the water on time!
