Sparklebugs is designed for returning 4 & 5 year olds who can not successfully complete a cartwheel. Students continue to learn simple gymnastic terms and positions. They work on all gymnastics events; floor, bars, beam and vault. Difficulty begins to increase at this level for preparation of the more difficult levels and skills to come. The children begin to refine their jumps, runs, and other movements. Skills Practiced: forward roll without using hands to stand up, cartwheel, backward roll with support, turning and leaping on balance beam, casting and pullovers with spot on bars, and hurdle and jump for vault.

What to wear: Comfortable shorts/sweats, t-shirts, or leotards. Nothing with zippers, ties, buttons, or anything to get caught on. Students will be barefoot while inside the main gym.
